Classic Club Sandwiches

Classic Club Sandwiches

A club sandwich is a layered sandwich traditionally made with:
Toasted bread, usually three slices
Sliced turkey or chicken
Bacon
Lettuce
Tomato
Mayonnaise
It’s often cut into four triangles, held together with toothpicks, and served with fries, chips, or a pickle. “Club” is sometimes said to stand for “chicken and lettuce under bacon,” but that’s likely a playful backronym rather than the true origin.
