Ingredients
- 2 cups chickpeas boiled, (canned chickpeas can also be used)
- 2 medium potatoes peeled and cubed
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes pureed
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 inch ginger grated
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for a minute.
- Add turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
- Add cubed potatoes and boiled chickpeas. Mix well.
- Add water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender.
- Add garam masala and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or roti.
