Lahoh
Ingredients
Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Gradually add the warm water to the dry ingredients while whisking to form a smooth batter. The batter should be thin, similar to pancake batter.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest at room temperature for about 1-2 hours, allowing the batter to ferment and bubble up.
- Heat a non-stick griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the griddle and spread it out into a thin, round shape.
- Cook the Lahoh for 2-3 minutes on one side until bubbles form and the edges start to brown. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked Lahoh on a plate.
- Serve the Lahoh warm with your favorite toppings such as honey, jam, or butter.
- Enjoy!
