Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Dipping sauce your choice (such as ranch dressing or sriracha mayo)

Method

  1. Wash the green beans and trim off the ends.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dip the green beans in the egg mixture, then coat them in the seasoned flour mixture.
  6. Carefully drop a few coated green beans into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
  7. Remove the fried green beans with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve the fried green beans hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
  9. Enjoy!
