Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 dried guajillo peppers stemmed and seeded
- 3 dried arbol peppers stemmed and seeded
- 2 ripe tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 cup shrimp broth
- Salt and pepper to taste

- Lime wedges optional
- cilantro chopped, (optional)
Instructions
- In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the dried peppers to the pan and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and broth to the pan. Bring the sauce to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until the shrimp is pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with lime wedges and chopped cilantro.Serve with rice or tortillas
