Skewered meatballs are delicious and savory bites of ground meat formed into balls and then cooked on a skewer. They are often seasoned with herbs and spices, and can be grilled, baked, or pan-fried.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, chicken, or a combination)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers soaked in water for at least 30 minutes

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and roll it into a ball, about 1 inch in diameter. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  3. Thread the meatballs onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each meatball.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meatballs are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  6. Serve the skewered meatballs hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as part of a meal with sides like rice, salad, or vegetables.
  7. Enjoy!
