Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Mexican blend)
Optional toppings:
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • guacamole
  • jalapeños sliced
  • tomatoes diced
  • cilantro chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the taco seasoning packet to the cooked beef, following the instructions on the packet for seasoning.
  4. On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out a layer of tortilla chips.
  5. Spoon the seasoned beef mixture over the tortilla chips, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef-topped chips, covering them completely.
  7. Add any additional toppings you like, such as salsa, sliced jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or any other toppings of your choice.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
  10. Serve the cheese beef nachos hot with extra toppings on the side if desired.
