Watkins vanilla extract fav for baking review –
I love this product and I buy it often. It is perfect in baked goods when you’re using oil instead of butter because you still get that butter flavor. It is also great in frosting. It adds a delicious flavor to anything I use it in. I have tried other butter extracts and they are not the same. Watkins is an old company with a trusted reputation. I will buy this brand whenever I have a choice. Highly recommend this product.

I got to a point where I really needed my baby to start drinking from a bottle and read somewhere that non-alcoholic vanilla extract could be added to encourage a baby to take the bottle. I have a YouTube cooking show (Sweet Tooth Sara) I use more vanilla that you would ever guess. This vanilla is the GOLD standard of vanilla. The bottle is large and easy to pour and I like that the bottle has a wider base, so it will not fall over in my spice cabinet. The taste is amazing, this bottle is all natural and 11 ounces, double the size you normally see in the stores. I just ordered more for the holiday baking season!

I've been using different Non-Alcoholic Vanilla Extract to put in my breastmilk for my little one and so far this is the best she's had. It usually takes some time for her to drink because I have high-lipase breastmilk, but it looks like when I add the Watkins Organic Pure Vanilla Non-Alcoholic Extract, she takes the bottle immediately. I'll definitely continue to use this product versus other non-alcoholic vanilla extracts.

I started buying Watkins vanilla a few years ago. I normally would purchase McCormick, and that is still a great product, but the price was crazy high. Watkins is a much more reasonable price – approximately $1 per ounce – and I think the flavor is excellent. It is real vanilla (as was the McCormick I previously used) and the flavor is great. Definitely worth the money if you want a quality vanilla to use in your baking.

I use this Wilton clear vanilla primarily for decorating sugar cookies. Keeping icing bright and white is important. Traditional vanilla extract tends to tint royal icing a beige or off-white color, but this clear version keeps everything looking crisp and clean.
Flavor-wise, it's definitely an imitation vanilla, so it doesn’t have the depth or warmth of pure vanilla extract. That said, it still adds a sweet, pleasant vanilla scent and taste—especially once mixed into icing or baked goods. It’s ideal when color matters more than complexity of flavor.
Another plus is that the bottle has a narrow spout which helps control the pour and avoid waste. A little goes a long way. I've had no issues with separation or off smells, and the shelf life is awesome.
Overall, this is a must-have in my bsking toolkit. I wouldn’t use it for high-end baking where vanilla is a star ingredient, but for cookies, frosting, and cakes that need to stay visually bright—this is my go to every time.

My go to vanilla extract !! I like all Watkins baking extracts! Good flavor. If I want vanilla butter nut flavor, I just use an empty bottle and mix this vanilla extract, butter extract and almond extract together. And there you have it vanilla butter nut flavor. Or just omit the butter flavor and just mix vanilla & almond for a vanilla nut flavor! Happy Baking!!

Vanilla raises serotonin. And, having a pure source is amazing. Little pricey but it is pure and not artificial. I use it in my coffee, for all typical uses, and as a little mood boost. A little goes a long way!
Did you know this about this vanilla –
The first thing I love about this vanilla is the price. The second thing is it’s clear. Usually when you find a cheaper vanilla, the taste is just not really there. I bought this large bottle and subscribed to receive one every six months because I bake a lot and I use a lot of vanilla. This vanilla actually taste better than the McCormick clear vanilla that I bought the last time I was at the store because this brand was not available. The McCormick was more expensive per ounce, and although it was clear this vanilla out performs it. I bought this once a long time ago in Walmart because they were out of every other clear vanilla except for the $25 ones. I use way too much of it overtime to buy the expensive stuff. I figured I was in a tight spot so I grabbed this and did not expect a lot from it because it was cheaper than the cheaper brands. To my sweet surprise, I loved it much better than any other vanilla that I had bought in the past few years. Also, this brand does not seem widely available in all the stores that I’ve shopped at. I’ve only ever seen it at Walmart and I don’t shop at Walmart all the time. For a cheap vanilla, this one is the one to buy!
