This salmon was freaking phenomenal!! Holy crap. I don't care if it's farm raised this is the best tasting salmon I've ever had in my entire life. Yes it does have a fishy smell BEFORE you cook it, cause well…it's a fish. It's super buttery and doesn't have any off-putting overly pronounced salmon flavor. The portion I received was a center cut and I was very pleased with my Whole Foods shopper, (they're not all great but I got really lucky this time). The filet is incredibly fresh and could easily be used as a sushi grade ingredient and again the buttery-ness was insanely good. I've never purchased salmon of this same quality from any other grocer. Take my money Whole Foods.
