Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe plantains

Method
 

  1. Peel the plantains and cut them into thick diagonal slices, about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the plantain slices to the pan in a single layer.
  4. Fry the plantains for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and caramelized.
  5. Remove the fried plantains from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  6. Optional: sprinkle some salt on the fried plantains for added flavor.
  7. Enjoy it as a side dish or snack.
