Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced bananas to the skillet and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Cook the bananas for a few minutes, stirring gently, until they start to caramelize and soften.
  4. Carefully pour the rum over the bananas (be cautious as it may ignite).
  5. Using a long match or lighter, carefully ignite the rum to flambe the bananas. Let the flames die down naturally.
  6. Once the flames have subsided, stir the bananas gently to coat them in the caramelized sauce.
  7. Serve the Bananas Flambe warm over a scoop of vanilla ice cream or with a dollop of whipped cream.
