Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, grated onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Cover the bowl and let the meat mixture marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If you’re using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Take a handful of the meat mixture and mold it onto a skewer, shaping it into a long, narrow sausage-like form. Repeat with the remaining meat mixture.
- Lightly brush the kebabs with olive oil to prevent sticking on the grill.
- Grill the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- Serve the lyulya kebabs hot with flatbread, salad, and your favorite sauces.
