Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups potato leaves (or spinach) washed and chopped
  • 1/2 lb beef cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup dried shrimp
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the dried shrimp and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the tomatoes and cook until they start to break down and release their juices.
  5. Add the potato leaves and water. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potato leaves are tender and the flavors have melded together.
  7. Serve the Ravimbomanga sy patsamena over cooked rice.
  8. Enjoy!
