Stegt flæsk med persillesovs is a traditional Danish dish consisting of crispy fried pork belly slices served with a creamy parsley sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 800 g pork belly slices
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g all-purpose flour
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Season the pork belly slices with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the pork belly slices and fry until they are crispy and golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
  3. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for a few minutes to make a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add the chopped parsley to the sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the crispy pork belly slices with the parsley sauce drizzled on top.
  7. Enjoy!
