Mughlai Kheema Paratha
Ingredients
- 1 lb minced meat (chicken, lamb, or beef)
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes finely chopped
- 2 green chilies finely chopped
- 1/2 inch ginger grated
- 3-4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil or ghee for cooking
Instructions
- In a pan, heat some oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
- Add minced meat, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the meat is cooked through and the mixture is dry. Stir in fresh coriander leaves.
- In a bowl, knead the whole wheat flour with water to make a soft dough. Divide it into 8 equal portions and roll them into balls.
- Roll out each ball into a small circle. Place a portion of the cooked kheema mixture in the center, then bring the edges together and seal the filling inside.
- Gently roll out the stuffed ball into a paratha, making sure not to break it.
- Cook the paratha on a hot griddle, applying oil or ghee on both sides until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or chutney.
- Enjoy!
