Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak sliced into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 1 green bell pepper or color of choice, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Add sliced flank steak and toss to coat.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet over high heat. When hot, add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp of oil and heat over high heat. Add onion, red bell pepper, and yellow bell pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until slightly softened.
- Add garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, oyster sauce, honey, black pepper, and water.
- Add the cooked beef back to the skillet, then pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
