Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked pasta your choice
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Serve the shrimp marinara over cooked pasta of your choice.
  5. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  6. Enjoy!
