Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
- 2 tablespoon basil chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes, until the onion softens.
- Add the ground beef and cook for another 3 minutes, until no longer pink. Add the oregano and tomato paste. Stir in the beef broth and cook for about 5 minutes until most of the broth become thick.
- Now add the crushed tomatoes, basil and season with salt and pepper. Stir and bring to a boil, cook for about 20 minutes.
- Add the spaghetti to the skillet and toss well with the prepared sauce. Top with grated Parmesan and dried basil. Serve immediately
