Beef Stroganoff is a classic Russian dish made with sautéed beef strips, onions, mushrooms, and a creamy sour cream sauce. It’s usually served over noodles or rice.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • egg noodles cooked or rice for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir to combine.
  5. Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  6. Add the beef back to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the Beef Stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice.
  9. Enjoy!
