We have cooked with this rice before and like it a lot. The mail packing method was terrible. The boxes of rice were in a bag and three of the boxes were banged up enough they were leaking rice into the mail bag. Not what I was expecting at all.

I love this purple rice. It has a nice nutty taste & the purple hue is cool, too. I like to make it in my rice cooker & use it for steak bites bowls. Yummy!

Up until recently, I had never heard of purple rice. After a friend described it, I just had to try it. I didn’t regret it! It is chewy & nutty and VERY tasty. It is also high in fiber, as well as vitamins & anti-oxidants. (It’s hard to believe that something this healthy is also this delicious, but it is.)
It is good to eat by itself or mixed with other types of rice. We like it with basmati rice. You should be aware that when you mix them, the white rice will turn purple,
Cooking- let’s start with the obvious. You need to read the directions on the package. On the stove, it will take a long time to cook, so plan for that. I like to cook it in an Instant Pot, which is faster. (The package also has directions for this type of cooking.) It’s worth the effort.
