These are very high quality extracts. I purchased two flavors: Maple and Banana. As soon as I opened the bottles OMG the smell of each one was delicious, very realistic, made my taste buds wake up!
This was my first time purchasing a banana flavored extract, so I was nervous that the flavor might be artificial or candy-like, but thankfully the flavor is very natural tasting.
I frequently use maple extract (mostly real, but ocassionally artificial is the real extract is put of stock) but this brand is by far the best tasting maple extract I've ever used, I'm SO happy that I decided to buy this!

After the reviews stating this didnโt taste like artificial banana, I took a blind leap of faith… Mind you, I am an artificial banana snob, after a disgusting laffy taffy experience in my youth. It is a larger bottle, so for the price I was okay with paying. At first smell and taste it is that of banana boat sunscreen, at that point I almost gave up and almost began the return….. almost. Then the after taste came through…. which is that of a real ripened banana! Wow! I used it in my baking for a keto version of bananas foster cheesecake & it was a fan favorite! Even my husband who hates the keto diet, gobbled up my dessert & stated โYou can really taste the banana, in a GOOD way.โ Triumph!

Don't understand why a product such as this is impossible to find in retail stores, even specialty markets. Plenty of imitation banana extract out there, but the real thing has been out of my grasp for a long time. Thrilled to discover this product on Amazon. Large 4 oz glass bottle with screw on top. Smells simply luscious and tastes even better, just as if you'd cut up a fresh banana and added it to your smoothie or baking recipe. Only difference is the extract doesn't have the sweet sugar taste like a real banana does.
A little goes a long way, so less is more until you find the right dose for the amount of liquid or batter being used. I use a large eye dropper instead of pouring directly from bottle to dispense drops in a controlled manner. Makes life much simpler and neater!

(Please read my updated review)
I wanted to bake more flavorful banana bread. Unfortunately this "banana extract" has no banana taste or smell – it doesn't taste or smell like anything – did they forget the banana? This product is a waste of your time and money, don't buy it.
UPDATE! I needed to update my review after I made a double batch this morning, four cups of very ripe frozen/defrosted bananas and one Tablespoon of this extract. As I mixed I noticed a stronger banana sent, same in baking, definitely tasted a stronger banana flavor than I've ever been able to achieve before, this extract works!
I buy this over all others. Here is why. –
I bought this for making banana bread. Bananas are a LOT less "banana-y" from when I was a kid (a long time ago). It is a different variety of bananas today than many years ago. They have less flavor, but last longer. I have had store-bought banana bread/muffins and they have an artificial banana taste which I do not like. I bought this and made two loaves of banan bread and I added a tiny amount (1/8 tsp) into the batter. It was the best I have made in many years. This is NATURAL rather than ARTIFICIAL extract and the flavor was great. It's sort of expensive, but I think it will be a lifetime supply for me, as a little goes a long way. I would warn about that. I initially thought I would put in a 1/4 tsp, but am glad I cut it back to 1/8. This is good stuff! I recommend.
