Happy to find Organic Mirin! This is a good quality mirin that tastes great. I see that the price has gone up since I bought it in February for $10.37. I probably won’t buy it again at that price even though I prefer organic.

Packaging improved? This hon-mirin has wonderfully irreplaceable, rich flavor. Aji mirin is merely sugar water in comparison. I've previously had difficulty with the older bakelite-plastic-topped corks breaking in transit during the depths of winter (Temps were -30F/-35C). The most recent caps are a newer design that seems more robust, ensuring the consumer protection seal remains intact.

The real deal and worth it.This is REAL mirin. A must if you want authentic Asian flavors. Be careful of the stuff in the supermarkets. It is most likely Aji-Mirin, which is sake with sugar added. Not the same. This has a much more subtle sweetness. You can taste the difference. Unlike others, I had no issues with a leaky cap, so must have been a bad batch.

Excellent product. I bought it because I am worth it.Expensive, but I believe it is worth it. More refined deeper taste than Kikkoman soy sauce. I wouldn't use this for cooking, but is great on sushi, and sashimi.
