I purchased 2. Both items had mold growing. The second item I open had the same mold and in addition, was completely rancid. Tasted like Bleu cheese almost (from the mold and spoilage). The cheese is very clumpy due to too much moisture and you may not notice mold on the surface but as you break up the bigger clumps, they're all moldy inside.

This a great pasta cheese. I grew up with and was glad I could get thru Amazon. As a misplaced New Yorker, it's hard to find the things you grew up with. Glad I was able to find it on Amazon. The only thing that I didn't understand is it took a long time for shipping, but I was happy to wait for it
