I didn't realize that this was a product that needed to stay refrigerated to be safe to cook. Don't order these through the mail. They're going to be very spoiled. Intense ammonia smell upon opening. Lesson learned.

I bought/tried this for the first time for one specific recipe, lol. It was more of a "chewy" type of dry than "crunchy," which admittedly was not what I was expecting. It was pretty salty and the shrimp tasted a little watered down, but I don't think that is anything against this product specifically; that is probably how this is supposed to taste. I liked it and the size was more than enough for my recipe. If you have a cat, you might have to hide these shrimps from them as my cat got into the package and ate the rest of them after I stepped away from them for a few seconds.

Fresh, tasty, not too salty. I use these for some Thai dishes that I like to make. I keep them in the freezer, though, because they have a pungent smell (nothing wrong with that, on the contrary, but it could impart the smell to other things in the refrigerator.)
