We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.
To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to all people: blind people, people with motor impairments, visual impairment, cognitive disabilities, and more.
This website utilizes various technologies that are meant to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.
Additionally, the website utilizes an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes its accessibility level constantly. This application remediates the website’s HTML, adapts Its functionality and behavior for screen-readers used by the blind users, and for keyboard functions used by individuals with motor impairments.
If you’ve found a malfunction or have ideas for improvement, we’ll be happy to hear from you. You can reach out to the website’s operators by using the following email
Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS and NVDA (screen readers).
Despite our very best efforts to allow anybody to adjust the website to their needs. There may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of becoming accessible, or are lacking an adequate technological solution to make them accessible. Still, we are continually improving our accessibility, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this is meant to reach the optimal level of accessibility, following technological advancements. For any assistance, please reach out to

Mild, Drenched, Salty.Mild flavor.
Drenched with a watery liquid.
Fairly salty for some reason.
Chicken of the sea has a clean, fresh flavor that is consistent with their high quality standards, however that equates to a very mild mackerel flavor, overly watered down product that has been seasoned with salt beyond an enjoyable level.
Great product if you want to eat it straight out of the bag without worry of offending others with the strong, fishy odor that mackerel is famous for. It's unfortunate that I don't find it suitable for use in other entrée dishes.
Value for the money?: Yes.
Ease of use?: Very easy.
Easy to store?: Yes.
Versatile?: Not in my opinion.
Would I buy it again?: Yes, but not expecting to use it for anything but a snack food.

Quite a bargain for the nutrition it offersThere is a lot of chunky, nearly whole fish packed inside each can. If you love fish, you will like this product. I am thankful for the recipe enclosed within one of these reviews!
I actually buy this by the case for my dogs and cats. Dog and cat food is so expensive these days, and full of fillers and plant protein, which is not utilized well by our carnivore pets. This product can't be beat for nutrition to $$ ratio!
One problem is bent cans. Not sure why, but I get bent cans in each shipment. Last time, in my subscription box, was a case of this mackerel that had apparently been drop from up high. The cans were so severely damaged, some were actually bent over the top of their neighboring cans. The box itself was pretty severely damaged and it was plain to see how the box had hit the ground very hard to make this sort of extensive damage.
It had to have happened before it left the Amazon packing line because nothing else in the box was damaged. There was no indication that the shipping company had dropped or damaged the box that contained several of my subscription items, including the boxed case of mackeral.
Every can in the case was bent severely, so much so that I would never serve this to myself nor my animals. I wouldn't have been able to open them anyway, with a normal can opener.
So, I called Amazon right away. Because I have many montly subscriptions, and buy from Amazon regularly, they told me they would waive the "no return" policy on food JUST THIS ONCE. They refunded me and I discarded the cans, sadly.
I immediately canceled my subscription because if this happens again, I am out the money, by no fault of my own, of course.
Well, after searching, I cannot find such a bargain for this type of fish. I have reluctantly and cautiously resubscribed. I hope this never happens again, but if it does, I will have to accept the loss.
Side note: I had received numerous shipments prior with only slight issues with a few very slightly dented cans, which I did indeed use with no proplems.

Really good and an excellent source of calcium among other nutrientsI ordered this to make fresh dog food but in reading the reviews I realized that it might be another good fish for fish salad. So I opened a can today and the reviews are correct. It's a different taste than canned tuna. It's much milder. Don't be shocked when you open the can. For those who don't know, fish bones become edible in the canning process so they'll be in there with the meat. Expect it. That's not a bad thing. We need calcium in our diet and in eating the flesh you'll never know they're there. Trust me on that; canned fish bones are edible. When I make the dogfood if I use canned fish with bones I don't need to add any other source of calcium. We work the same way.
OK, since it's so mild in flavor it would take on flavors you want to put with it. Look online for canned mackerel recipes. Today I just used mayo and onion and again, it's tasty.
One can drained and the lid pressed down (hold the can upside down) to press out the water yields the approx' equivalent of 1 1/2 cans of tuna. That's a guess.
Dogs love the juice, just go easy on serving it to them due to the sodium content. I use it as a flavoring sprinkled on their food and not as a large part of their food.
Yeah, I'll keep ordering this! I like it, and it's a 2 fer. I use fer me and one fer the dogs.

Strong and Fishy.Fish in a foil packet. Ok, some people like kale. Some people will never like it, and no amount of kale massage can change their opinion. Same with mackerel. My advice is: if you don't like fishy fish, you probably shouldn't get this. Me? I LOVE sardines and mackerel. Nice, oily fish with a strong flavor. I've gotten 3 cases of this product, and have found it to be consistently good. It's not too strong for mackerel – I've had stronger tasting stuff. Also it has fairly big chunks of fish considering the size of the package, not a lot of "crumbs", and no bones. The packet is a nice size for a serving. My cats love the juice/oil. A drawback is that I can't open it without scissors as I have to pull so hard the packet rips suddenly and fishy juice goes everywhere – something to consider if you're taking it in your lunch for work. Or camping in bear country. It would be bad to go hiking in bear territory if you spilled mackerel juice all over your spiffy REI outfit.
I'm pretty much happy with the quality and price. It's handy, good for sandwiches. It's good with Greek olives. It's good on a micro-greens salad. I think I read some people complained about where it came from. Are there even cannery facilities in the US anymore? It would be great if this was a product of the USA, but it's not. I choose not to judge it on that. Unless the quality takes a nosedive, I'll continue getting this.
