Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 onions finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes pureed
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until they are golden brown on all sides.
- Add the tomato puree and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or Indian bread like naan or roti.
