Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg beaten, (for egg wash)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until browned. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the onion is soft and the flavors are well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares or rectangles approximately 4 inches in size.
  4. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each pastry square. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangular shape and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  5. Brush the tops of the Samsa with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Place the Samsa on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve the Samsa hot and enjoy!
