Langos
Ingredients
Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Gradually add the warm water and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Once the dough has risen, divide it into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball into a round disc, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F (180°C). Carefully place the dough discs into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the langos from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the langos hot with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, grated cheese, garlic butter, shrimp or Nutella.
- Enjoy!
