Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until cooked through. Add the onion, garlic, and carrot and cook until the vegetables are softened.
  • Stir in the tomato paste, broth, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir until well combined. Cook for a few more minutes until the filling has thickened.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  • Roll out the pie crust and cut it into 8 equal-sized circles (4 for the bottom crust and 4 for the top crust).
  • Place the bottom crusts in individual pie dishes or on a baking sheet. Spoon the filling into each crust.
  • Cover each pie with a top crust and crimp the edges to seal the pies. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  • Brush the tops of the pies with the beaten egg to create a golden finish.
  • Bake the pies in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let the pies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
