- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 head Napa cabbage sliced
- 8 shiitake mushrooms sliced
- 4 green onions cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup dashi stock (or beef broth)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 eggs (optional, for dipping)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or sukiyaki pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent.
- Add the beef slices and cook until browned.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and dashi stock. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the pan.

- Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked but still slightly crisp.

- Enjoy!
