Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a small ball.
- Flatten each dough ball into a small disc, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place a spoonful of sweetened monggo paste in the center of each disc.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to form a small square or rectangle shape.
- Place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.
- Allow the pastries to cool before serving.
