- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
- In a small bowl, mix the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a round loaf and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover the loaves with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the loaves with melted butter.
- Bake the loaves in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let the bread cool slightly before slicing and serving.
