- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes to make the marinade.
- Add the beef strips to the marinade, making sure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 175°F (or the lowest setting).
- Place the marinated beef strips on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to catch any drips.
- Bake the beef strips for about 3-4 hours, or until they are dried and chewy. You can also use a food dehydrator if you have one.
- Let the beef jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
