Mint tea is a soothing and refreshing herbal tea made from dried mint leaves steeped in hot water. It has a clean, crisp flavor with a hint of sweetness and a cool, menthol undertone.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves or 2-3 teaspoons of dried mint leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar or honey to taste (optional)

Method
 

  1. Rinse the mint leaves under cold water to clean them.
  2. If using fresh mint leaves, gently crush them with your fingers or a spoon to release their oils.
  3. In a small pot, bring the water to a boil.
  4. Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the mint leaves to the pot.
  5. Cover the pot and let the mint leaves steep in the water for about 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor to be.
  6. Strain the tea to remove the mint leaves. You can use a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser.
  7. Sweeten the tea with honey or sugar if desired.
  8. Pour the mint tea into cups and enjoy!
