Ingredients

  • 1 lb your choice meat (beef, chicken, or lamb), thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons ground cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning)

Method

  1. In a blender or food processor, blend the roasted peanuts until they form a coarse powder.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground peanuts, ginger, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  3. Add the sliced meat to the marinade, making sure to coat each piece thoroughly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  4. Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated meat onto the skewers.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has a nice charred exterior.
  7. Serve the Suya-Skewered Meat hot with your favorite side dishes or dipping sauce.
  8. Enjoy!
