Preheat a griddle over medium-high heat.
Clean the cuttlefish or squid by removing the tentacles, ink sac, and spine. Wash well and pat dry with paper towels.
Cut the cuttlefish or squid into rings, about 1/2 inch thick.
In a bowl, mix the garlic, parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
Brush the griddle with a little bit of olive oil.
Place the cuttlefish or squid rings on the hot griddle and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until cooked through and lightly browned.
Drizzle the garlic and parsley mixture over the cuttlefish or squid and serve immediately.
