Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a Šakotis mold or a bundt cake pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour and salt to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
Pour a thin layer of batter into the prepared mold or pan and spread it evenly.
Place the mold in the oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the layer is set.
Remove from the oven and continue adding thin layers of batter, baking each layer until set.
Repeat the process until all the batter is used up and the Šakotis has formed a tree-like shape.
Allow the Šakotis to cool in the mold before carefully removing and serving.
