Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 2 cups grated coconut
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. In a pan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add salt to taste and the grated coconut to the boiling water.
  3. Slowly add the rice flour while stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
  4. Cook the mixture on low heat until it thickens and forms a dough-like consistency. Remove from heat.
  5. Let the mixture cool slightly. Then, take small portions of the dough and shape them into small cylindrical dumplings.
  6. Place the dumplings in a steamer and steam for about 15-20 minutes until they are cooked through.
  7. Once cooked, remove the dumplings from the steamer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve the Pundi Gatti hot with coconut chutney or your favorite curry.
  9. Enjoy!
