Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 4-5 ripe tomatoes chopped
  • 4-5 shallots finely chopped
  • 4-5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-3 red chili peppers finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon shrimp paste (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Vegetables for serving
  • rice for serving

Method
 

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and shallots, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground pork to the pan and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and red chili peppers. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Add fish sauce, shrimp paste (if using), and sugar. Stir well.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the flavors meld together.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve hot with fresh cilantro, vegetables, and rice.
  8. Enjoy!
