Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground lamb or beef
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 medium tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper paste (optional, for extra spice)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped
  • Fresh mint finely chopped (optional)
  • Thin pizza dough or flatbread

Method
 

  1. a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, tomatoes, bell peppers, tomato paste, red pepper paste (if using), paprika, cumin, coriander, oregano, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, parsley, and mint. Mix everything together until well combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to the highest temperature setting.
  3. Divide your pizza dough into smaller portions and roll each piece into a thin round shape, similar to a flatbread.
  4. Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining dough and meat mixture.
  7. Bake the lahmacun in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is crispy and the meat topping is cooked through.
  8. Once cooked, remove from the oven and garnish with additional fresh parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
