Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
In a small bowl, mix together the almond paste, sugar, almond extract, and chopped almonds until well combined.
Spread the almond paste mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
Roll up the pastry lengthwise to create a long log shape. Press the edges to seal.
Twist the log into a circular shape and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the top of the Kringle with the beaten egg.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the Kringle to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
Slice and serve warm.
