Jamaican boil dumplings are a popular traditional dish made from a simple dough of flour, water, and sometimes salt. The dough is formed into small dumplings and boiled until they are cooked through. They are often served alongside stews, curries, or other main dishes as a delicious and filling side
In a bowl, combine 3 cups flour with water. Mix together with a spoon. Add remaining flour and knead until dough is soft not sticky. If too soft or sticky add small portions of flour until desired consistency is obtained.
Pull up a small chunk of flour about 1/4 handful and make in a ball. Knead dough inwards with fingers then indent the middle so that it looks like a donut or wheel.
Boiled a pot of water. Add dumplings and cook for about 20 minutes.
Serve with Ackee and Salt Fish, Callaloo, Brown Stew Chicken, Curry Chicken or Stew Liver.
