  • 8 oz goat cheese 1 log
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Mixed greens and cherry tomatoes for serving

Method
 

  1. Slice the goat cheese log into rounds, about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash.
  3. Place the flour, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in separate shallow dishes for breading the goat cheese.
  4. Dip each goat cheese round into the flour, then the egg wash, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry the coated goat cheese rounds for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve the fried goat cheese on a bed of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes, drizzled with your favorite dressing.
