In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Add the vegetable oil and gradually mix in the water to form a smooth dough. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it's elastic.
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a thin rectangle on a floured surface.
Using a knife or pastry cutter, cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and 5 inches long.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the dough strips in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side.
Remove the Fazuelos from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Dust the Fazuelos with powdered sugar while they are still warm.
