  • 24 fresh clams
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Scrub the clams thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or sand. Discard any clams that are open or cracked.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the clams in a single layer in a baking dish. Spoon the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the clams.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and the clams have opened.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the clams.
