- Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler) and stir until melted. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until well combined.
- Divide the mousse mixture into 4 serving glasses or bowls.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until set.
- Before serving, you can top the mousse with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries.
