  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 lemon zest
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, cinnamon stick, and lemon zest.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low.
  3. Simmer the rice pudding, stirring occasionally, for about 30-40 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the mixture has thickened.
  4. Remove the cinnamon stick and lemon zest.
  5. Remove the rice pudding from heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Serve the arroz doce warm or chilled, sprinkled with ground cinnamon on top.
  7. Enjoy!
