Aloo Tikki is a popular Indian street food made with mashed potatoes mixed with various spices, shaped into patties, and then fried until crispy. It is often served with chutney or yogurt for dipping.
In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, grated ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties.
Coat each patty with cornflour or breadcrumbs for a crispy texture.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Fry the patties in batches until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Remove from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
