I HATE BLACK LICORICE! UNTIL...I have NEVER been a fan of black licorice but THESE are made with real ingredients not fake RedVines or Twizlers. Mild anise taste and SO SO good. Much harder to chew than the fake ones but I just put mine in the microwave for 6 seconds and it's perfect!

Less than I expected.I had hoped to find licorice similar to what I used to get at the old Ben Franklin stores. It was soft, full of flavor and delicious. This licorice is ok but definitely not the same. And it's not soft either. It is chewy and you'd better have a good set of teeth if you decide to buy it. The flavor is un-spectacular. I'll not throw it away because tough, chewy licorice is better than no licorice at all. Not the manufacturer's fault, just not what I was expecting.

Did I get a bad batch or did they totally change these?I LOVED these licorice, until this bag. They were soft and flavorful with the perfect texture. Somewhat like Panda licorice but much better. I have noticed they were out for a while so I've been waiting for them to restock. However, the bag I have is HORRIBLE!! I'm wondering if during the absence from the site if they totally changed some things. The formula? Process? Ingredients? Now, they are very hard, unpleasant to try to chew, and the flavor is almost nondescript. Also, the deep black color and perfect texture are no more. These have an almost translucent look to them and they are a very dark shade of brown instead of black. I do not like them now at all. Could it be that I received a bad batch? I hope so. I will give this bag one star and attempt to repurchase another time. If they are still bad, I will be on the search for another favorite licorice.

Soft and FreshReal licorice flavor! And the size of these is fulfilling! I only need to eat one, maybe two, at a time, and I am satisfied! 🙂 I also love the resealable bag!
