The taste was a bit weird, kind of tangy. We did eat the cupcakes and everyone seemed to like them but it just had a tangy taste to them. For it to be so expensive you would think it would be a bit better.

following instructions, this frosting had a slightly bitter aftertaste for me. I added water to the point where this frosting became more of a glaze and the aftertaste mostly went away. had I served this drizzled over a cake, I’m sure the aftertaste would have been undetectable to others.
the ingredient list was 3 ingredients long… cream cheese powder, butter powder and allulose.
according to google, allulose is a naturally occurring sugar but I guess allulose isn’t or isn’t easily digested in the same way as cane/table sugar is.
I would buy this again for the convenience of having compactly packaged, shelf-stable and easily prepared last minute glaze… but I would not buy it to frost a birthday cake or anything kind of sentimental or important.

This product both tastes good and works well. You can add more water to increase the volume, but not much, and not at the risk of making the icing too watery. If you’re covering an entire sheet cake (9”x14”) then you’ll want two bags minimally. One bag would probably be enough for 12 cup cakes.
